With reference to above, I am directed to inform you that the decision was taken by the Central Government Employees Weltare .Co-
Ordination Committee meeting held on 07.12.2016 to observe hotidays on Maha
shivaratri (24.02.2017\, Holi (13.03.2017) & Ganesh chaturthi (25.08.2017) as
Closed Holidays out of list of 12 festivals as mentioned in Para 3.1 of DOPT
OM F. No, 121812016-JCA-2 dated 24.06.2016.
You are requested to suggest the replacement for 14th January
2017 (Makar Sankranti) from above three holidays.
