Respected Sir,

Namaskar. Vide SP Gondal No. B2-27/Plan-scheme-trg/2016-17 dated 17-03-17 issued in pursuance of R.O.Rajkot No. STA2/MS-10/16-17 dated 20-11-16 35 officials have been ordered to attend training on "Human Resource Development Plan Scheme for the year 2016-17" at dept of computer science, Saurashtra University, Rajkot on consecutive five Sundays on 26th March, 2nd April, 9th April, 16th April and 23rd April for two sessions of three hours i.e. 6 hours on each Sunday with difficulty of catching transport and travelling 90 kms. This means that 35 employees will not get any off day from 20-3-17 to 29-4-17 and as such they have to attend office constantly for 41 days with no Sunday for personal work or with family members.

Concerned employees have become confused and sad by such excession and approached us requesting representation to stop such orders. There had been repeated Dte instructions to avoid trainings & melas on sunday. Staff side urges to understand ground reality and agony of concerned staff and reschedule training if at all necessary and prescribed & approved by the Directorate.

Weekly off is a mandatory requirement as per law in force in the country.

In no case officials are ready to attend consecutively 5 Sundays at distant place. Staff side don't want any confrontation but such an order would cause unnecessary and unfair hardship to employees. We request to reconsider the issue very urgently and reschedule the dates.

With regards

Yours sincerely

Rashmin Purohit
